Does RDM support console sessions to eSXI hosts? Specifically the eSXI configration screen.
Hi,
How do you usually access eSXi host? What is the default executable?
David Hervieux
We use several different methods. The pop out console from vCloud Director in a browser is the most common. Also via the console selection in vSphere Client.

We have the VM Infrastructure client integrated in the Virtualization (VMWare type). Have you tried?
David Hervieux
I have tried that configuration and it gives me the vSphere client with no problem, but what I am seeking is the actual management interface for initial configuration.
What is exactly this interface? It usually another tool? (Sorry I'm not a VMware expert)
David Hervieux
It is a standard management interface for VMware products. If you would like, I can setup a webex session to show you.
Hi,
Sorry for the confusion, by interface I mean what application do you use
David Hervieux
One is via the pop out console from vCloud Director
The other is via the console selection in vSphere Client
Do you know if we could call vCoud director in command line?
David Hervieux
I found a way to achieve what I was seeking by enabling SSH and ESXi Shell on the ESXi Console.
At that point I am able to configure a PuTTY session to the console, run 'Export TERM=linux' and then run 'dcui' to bring up the standard interface
The only issue at that point is being unable to use F2 to login to the console which is being addressed in a minor update per your conversation in another thread.
Thanks for your assitance on this David
