Hi
I am currently using RDM Enterprise and we have setup Embedded VPNs for each of our clients on their respective sessions. Their is a 'master VPN' for each site with each session told to dial a VPN(standalone session) if they are unable to ping a custom IP. The techs are complaining about the lengthy delays in connecting the VPN when opening any session if it is not already established. Is there a better way of doing this??

There is a wait delay in the application option. It's in the Advanced tab, have you tried to reduce it?

I believe the delay is due to the 'connect if unable to ping'. I have a workaround but it would be great to be able to tweak this setting or is there a way to check if the VPN session is already open???

Just embedding the PBK file as a VPN session and connecting before accessing any resources.

The ping is faster when you do that?

No I have set all the sessions to Manual VPN connection so no ping is involved

But if you don't embed it and you set it to manual, does it help?Is it possible that it could be slow because you have too many session with the VPN embedded?

I embed the VPN in a 'VPN Session Entry' then reference the 'master' VPN in all the sessions that require access to VPN to connect. Up until I changed it to manual i had the Sessions setup to connect if unable to ping previously which is where I was having the delays.
