Using a Shared SQL Source Without Sharing Creds

Using a Shared SQL Source Without Sharing Creds

Hello All,

I use Remote Desktop Manager for work and I am trying to push it out to all of my co-workers in my department, however, there is one thing holding me back. If I use a SQL Database as the Data Source I can easily share all of the connections, which is all well and good. I don't want to have to type in Credentials on every single connection though. Is there any way to pull Credentials from a different data source than SQL that way I can put all of my servers on the SQL Datasource and for the Credential Repository choose "Local Data Source" and then a commonly named Credential that way every user can then create that entry on their local machine and auto login with their own details?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

After some tinkering around I found that I could add sessions and create credentials that were empty. Then have each user Edit User Specific Settings on each credential that way we can all have our own credentials with the same basic entry name. Can someone confirm if this is wise to do it this way?

Hi,
This is exactly what I was about to suggest.
