Hi,
We are controlling the access to RDM by using a script. The script checks if a user is member of a security group. If a user is member then RDM starts.
Now, if I add a user to the group. The user can see all entry's in RDM.
If I then set security rights the user is restricted to the entry's I have configured.
The problem is in the fact that a new user in the security group can see by default everything. Is there an option to restrict the default rights a user gets when he starts RDM? If I could configure that the user sees nothing as long as I do not have his rights configured, our problem would be solved.
Thanks,
Hi,
What data source type do you use?
David Hervieux
Microsoft SQL server.
Hi,
I'm not sure that there is anything we can do with SQL Server. I suspect that your new users are DBOwner by default so they get created with the Admin rights. As soon as you configure them it's remove those rights. Remote Desktop Manager Server does not work the same way and it can create a default user with no rights.
Does all your session are in a security group? You could run the Security Group report to verify this.
