Credential Repository - Nesting Folders?

Credential Repository - Nesting Folders?

avatar

Is it possible to create and secure nested folders? I would like to create groups of folders and store different credentials in each. More so for aesthetics so if I want to find the password for an account, I don't have to scroll through a gigantic list. I realize I can secure the credentials via groups though so that is not the issue.

Hello,

Please consult http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/howto_folderstructure.htm to have the full explanation about folders.

I am unsure about one thing though, your first phrase asks about securing nested folders, then at the end I understand that it is not an issue.

Best regards,

Maurice

the security is not the issue, sorry. The nest is. I made a folder and it appeared under sessions as the article you referenced states. I guess it is unclear to me how to make it appear properly. I am looking at something like

Group A
Folder 1
Folder 2
Group B
Folder 1
Folder 2

Select the "Group A" folder, then press ctrl+shift+N to create a new folder, since the Group A folder is selected, the new folder will be created below it.

There are many methods to create entries, I'll try to clear this up

A) Going through the generic "Entry" route, you will then have the choice of choosing from ALL of the entry types we support
1) press the Insert key of your keyboard
2) Press the New Entry button right beside the system menu
3) Right-click on the "Group A" folder and choose "new entry" in the context menu

B) Creating a folder directly
1) Press the CTRL+SHIFT+N combination
2) Right-click on the "Group A" folder, choose "Add" then "Add Group/Folder"
