Howdy,
We're using the Trial of RDM and have a question...
We have our corporate office and then we have a remote data center. To access the remote data center we use Putty to establish an SSH Tunnel connection to a specific external IP/port that tunnels to a specific IP/port. When then use RDP to go to localhost:#### to get to the machine.
We authenticate with a private key file that each of us have.
Is there a way to setup a shared SSH Tunnel connection that will get stored in our SQL database but then have it pull the Key information from each user's personal credential area or something like that? If not, then it seems that each user would have to have their own private SSH Tunnel connections that would be needed to use the main RDP connection.
We also want to make the RDP connection dependent on the SSH session so if I double click on the RDP icon and the SSH session isn't running it would launch that first and then RDP in automatically.
Does that make sense? Can we do that?
I'm not able to test this however you could try to create an entry/session of the type SSH Tunnel (native).
Then create another entry of the type RDP connecting to localhost:#### and have the SSH Tunnel session defined as a VPN/Tunnel/Gateway and probably setting it to Always connect.
Then define a private key in the private vault holding your personal private key.
And finally set the User Specific setting for the SSH Tunnel session and on the tab Settings choose to override the private key with the private vault entry.
