Link to Excel files in Sharepoint Foundation 2010
Hello,
have a couple of excel docs saved to a sharepoint libary. on the RDM i created the session i can access them fine. on another PC (SQL database) it says "The File Does Not Exist!" if i then edit the session on each pc and browse to the location then select the file it works. i only have to do this with one file once this is done all other files work.
i have tested the external and embedded.

Could you post a sample of the file link? Is it possible that the file is on a network drive and your are not authenticated.

does look like some kind of authentication problem. all PC's are on the domain and have rights in sharepoint.
Also. this happens every time the users reboot the pc's you need to browse to the file and select it again.
I think that they have to connect to the remote computer once.

ok if they open IE and open the saprepoint site then close it down then open the file from RDM it works.
any chance of a fix?
I really don't know how I can fix this. Are they prompted to authenticate when connect first? Could you post a print screen of the error message?

Its built into sharepoint on a domain level. If I auto start a session to open the site the files work. So it has to be permissions related. Will be back in the office on wednesday so ill get a screen shot.
Ok,
let try something. When it fails, Open a Windows Explorer and browse to the file. After that retry RDM. I just want to see if you select the file without RDM, if this works.
