Text, Data Entry "Note" behavior

Not sure if this really constitutes a bug, or feature request or just me being picky but here goes....

First, I noticed in one of the recent versions a "Text" (Session Type -> Other -> Text) it'll show under "description" everything in the text. This is nice, but it doesn't appear to have any kind of logging of when someone highlights the Text session. They could read anything in Text and have no log trail to show they had the file open. Also, same goes for the Data Entry "Note"... you can highlight it, see everything in it, but avoid any kind of "Open Session" logs. Maybe have a check mark to force people to open to view? Or behave as it did in earlier versions than 7.0 ?

Second, when editing a "Text" session, it won't maximize the space where you can edit. It'll only show it in the bottom part of the window. I noticed that with the Data Entry "Note" it'll actually maximize the text edit to the entire screen. Is it possible to do that for the Text session as well? Or is the Data Entry -> Note going to make the "Text" session obsolete?

Third, I noticed in one of the recent versions the "Edit on open" check mark for text sessions. Is it possible to have this as an all or none kind of setting under File->Options instead of under each individual text session?
