I am unable to open PDFs via the Embedded tab. I receive the following error:
Hello,
What version of RDM are you running?
Thank you,
Maurice
Thanks for the quick response!
Version 10.0.4.0 64-bit
Could you try the bit version? I suspect that the PDF viewer that you use does not have a bit ActiveX.

32-bit version of RDM? I didn't have this problem or error until I upgraded to version 10.
Which pdf viewer do you use?
David Hervieux
Sorry yes the 32 bit version.

I have both Acrobat Pro XI and Acrobat XI Reader installed. I just double checked and made sure my default application for PDFs was the Reader. PDF opens fine when using the "External" option, but when I change to Embedded Tab, it presents the error message and "locks" the particular Session. I can close the tab which contains the error, but the session remains "locked" somehow and I can't re-open it. I have to completely close out of RDM and re-start to test opening the session with different parameters.
I had originally noticed the problem with version 9 towards the end of the version cycle. The PDF was originally stored in RDM's database, but at some point an update seemed to prevent me from storing PDFs into the Local Data Source. I then started using Linked PDF files which seemed to work until the update. I can continue to view the PDF files externally, it was just extremely convenient to view in an embedded tab.

Have you tried the 32 bit version? The error is really an ActiveX error coming from Adobe.
