Search / Filter does not find inside Note?

Hi,
We don't search in the secure note since it's a special document. That something we could add.

Oh, are certain document items special and others not? I can't tell which ones are searchable.

Being for sure, able to search through the text in Notes and the Information|Notes field would be great!

But adding a search function to the note would be a mistake I think, that would result in to many results that are of no use. At least that would need to be a extra option to the search not a part of default search.

My recommendation is to use good naming so the filter is more useful.

For example I use this naming rule for all server sessions in RDM

Role of server (name of server)

And in the description I use keywords like.
SQL 2012, Exchange 2013, Sharepoint 2010 and so on, that way I can easily find all server running Sharepoint 2013 by just typing Sharepoint 2013 in the filter :D

Also for servers I prefer naming rules who helps identify the server, so a server running Sharepoint who is a part of a production system could be called PROD_SP13_04 or a server who is a part of cluster named CLSP13 could be called PROD_CLSP13_02 that is server 2 in the cluster CLSP13 who is a SharePoint 2013 cluster belonging to the prod system.

We could add this only in the Advanced Search

Maybe I misunderstood something, doesn't 'Include Notes' make it an option to the search function, so you can just disable it if you don't want the big list.

What exactly does 'Include Notes' mean then, what note is it searching by selecting this?
Where is Advanced Search? or do you mean the pull down options in search?

Ingvar: For each client we have all our users/exchange information that we would like to embed and search. Where do you or would you store this information, not related to a session?

We have a notes field in the Information Tab page. The Advanced Search is in the View ribbon

Dang, never saw the advanced search, yes adding it in there would be all we need.
