Does version 10 really need .net 4.0 ?

We want to upgrade to version 10, but not have .net 4.0 on our vdi's.

So w either have to change the golden imaege we use with .net 4.0 or find another way to use version 10 ( without .net 4.0 )

Any idea's on this ?

Alex

Hi,
Unfortunately there is no solution other than installing .NET 4.0. We also recommend to install .NET 4.5.1 after .NET 4.0. However .NET 4.0 needs to be installed first.

You need to update your website then. It says it only requires 3.5!!!! I just spent 3k on this and now because of my environment, I can't run this.

Thanks !

Hi Will,
Sorry about that. We will update our web site for sure. The online help was already up to date

We can give you a full refund if you can't install .NET 4.0

Found a solution possibly.

If you have .NET 4.0 Client Profile, you can then install .NET 4.0 Extended. This will make the framework look like .NET 4.0 Full.

After installation, you uninstall .NET 4.0 Extended.

Currently giving it some tests to see if everything works like it is supposed to.
