Hi,
i monitored, that if i have set Navigation to AutoHide,
that i get an Error when opening a RDP-Session.
I think it is linked with the Smart-Sizing Feature because on opening an RDP-Session
it creates a session-window which has screensize with nav-bar.
during connect nav-bar disappears because of autohide and smart-sizing wants to resize window.
result: error on connect because you cannot resize a rdp-session during establishing.
If I deactivate autohide, all is fine again.
Problem exists with: Win 2008, Win 2012
Problem do not exist: Win 2003
Translation: Reconnecting remote session failed. Try again
RDM v10.0.4.0
Win 8.1 x64

Hi,
I am also getting this error. And it is worse if the server happens to be a XenApp server.
From my memory, this was not an issue for v10.0.3.0, as I only remember it happening since I upgraded to v10.0.4.0. It may be another update that installed at about that same time. I also happens on the Free version 1.0.5.0 (I installed it as a test as this issue is so annoying)
To clarify, if Navigation Autohide is on (which I need to maximize the RDP window on a 10inch laptop screen):
- I open Navigation and connect to a server,
- if I have an open RDP session to a Xenapp server (XenApp 4.5 on Windows 2008 x86), I get a popup from RDM "Failed to reconnect to your remote session. Please try to connect again".
- When I switch to an existing open RDP session, I get a popup from Windows "The connection has been lost...", which then reconnects successfully (most of the time)
If Navigation Autohide is turned OFF, this does not happen.
If I open Navigation (with AutoHide on) and then close it again without connecting to a server, this does not happen.
My system:
- windows 8.1 x64 fully patched.
- RDM v10.0.5.0
- Setting is the same as Markus
