RDM 10.0.4.0: SSH Key file not found

avatar

Hi We use SSH Key file to logon via SSH to some server.
Until version 9.2, the file (located in the same folder of the RDM .exe file) was put inthe the field just inserting the name of the path...
In this way we can move the data source from one PC to other and the session still work file !
Now with version 10.0.4.0, the path of the SSH KEY file HAVE tobe absolute path....
can you have a look at this point, please ??
See Images attached for clarify...

Hi Pico,
I will assign this to Hubert. He will look into it.

Hello Pico,

Is the problem happening while trying to save the private key in a connection or when trying to use the private key?
Additionally, does the private key exist in the path when you're trying to set it?

Hi Hubert!
It happens on both cases.
I have hundreds of Session with SSK KEY. If I try to use it I have the error...
The only workaround is to puth the absolute path to the file in the ssh key filed.
If I looking for the SSH key file using the browse button, RDM 10 it put the absolute path to the file.
Until release 9.2, works even with the only name of the file (RDM consider the file in the same directory of the exe file)

Hello again, Pico,

Just to make sure, does the private key exist when you try to set it in the settings?

Could you test something for me?:
- Make a shortcut of RemoteDesktopManager.exe somewhere else
- Make sure that in the shortcut's properties, both "Target" and "Start in" are the right path
- Test it again while using the shortcut instead of running the executable directly

WORKS!
In this way works fine, like before....

I have to use a Shortcut instead of the real .exe ??

Hello,

I'm glad to hear it works. This can be used as a temporary solution, but I will keep looking for a way to fix this problem. I'm unable to reproduce it as of now but I'm working on it.

Ok.. The shortcut can be even in the same folder of the .exe , or not ?
Anyway, you can ask me if you need some more test. No problem for me.
