While evaluating RDM 9.6.2 I came across problem somehow similar to one described in http://forum.devolutions.net/topic1338-vnc-over-ssh.aspx, but differing in details.
I am trying to configure VNC over SSH tunnel. VNC works great when connecting to the server without tunnel. SSH tunnel works great, when I use EXTERNAL VNC client (i.e. VNCManager) and configure it to use the tunnel established within RDM. I cannot configure RDM to work combining both functionalities, i.e. SSH + VNC. When using UltraVNC variant VNC client cannot connect to the server. When using default VNC client RMD attempts to display a fragment of X window and hangs.
Discussion regarding topic indicated above concentrated on the SSH as the possible culprit. In my case SSH is obviously working fine, as verified using the external software - problem seems to lie in the VNC client.
Any suggestions,
Ano
Could you try to use UltraVNC in external mode?

You guessed it. With external UltraVNC it works like a charm in both variants:
- with tunnel established within RDM and UltraVNC viewer executed beyond the RDM,
- with UltraVNC configured within RDM as an external module.
We have a workaround, but it does not solve the central problem of RDM functionality.

Could you send me by private message your embedded configuration? I will just double check if we could change something in the configuration.
