Putty, Color Schemes and Passwords

avatar

When I create a Telnet/SSH session, the Session dropdown box lists 2 sessions with different color schemes. If I choose the Session radio button, I get the color scheme, but I have to manually enter the password. If I specify the password, I don't get the color scheme. Is there a way to have both?

Also, how can I make the default Open action be to open it in a tab?

Hi,
You're right, when you use the session, you can't specify the password. I will try to add this for the next version, but it's only work for SSH according to the help

<<
Note that the -pw option only works when you are using the SSH protocol. Due to fundamental limitations of Telnet and Rlogin, these protocols do not support automated password authentication.

If you specify the password with the other option, you don't have all the setting saved from your session.

If you want to open it in a tabbed mode, you will find an option in the session configuration (Open embedded (tabbed)). Check this option and it will open embedded by default.

Let me know if you have another question.
