V10: focus on selected item + folder colours

V10: focus on selected item + folder colours

avatar

Hi,

We just installed version 10 and so far very nice GUI update.

However, a few questions:
*how to keep focus on a session when search is cleared? f.e. I'm searching for server LAB100, I select it, but when I clear my search the focus is gone, it goes/focuses on sesssions again
*why the grey folders? kind of depressive ... can the foldercolour be changed?

Please advise.
Steven

Hi,
Unfortunately it's not possible to change the folder color. We will continue to work on the design and we take all the comments.

I'm not sure to understand your issue. Do you mean that after the clear you want the item to stay selected?

Ok, thanks.

Yes, isn't that a logical way of working? Do you use Remote Desktop Manager yourself?
What we want to achieve:
1.search for f.e. LAB100
2.LAB100 is selected but other items are still visible, by selecting LAB100 the search should be cleared (kind of logical, not?)
What happens now: search for LAB100: all other items are filtered away, you select LAB100, clear the filter and the focus isn't anymore on LAB100 (why?!) but just goes to "connections"
Really ennoying. Thanks for your input.

It could be logical but the opposite could also be annoying so it would need a setting for that. The typical scenario is use the filter, open the connection and clear the filter to the root.

I'm not sure I understand your response. How can we achieve our scenario?

you can open the connection with the dashboard actions or by pressing enter.

Yes, I know. So what do you actually want to say by that?

David, can you clarify?

We still can't achieve what we want to = type a computername, get focus on the computername, enter = connecting to it but then the filter should be gone. If you go to another tab, the focus on the tree should go to that tab.
Haven't found a way to achieve that yet.
Please advise.

What do you mean by go to another tab? Could you post a print screen with the workflow?
