Hello together
We want to use RDM to Patch server systems. As we want to be sure that no server hangs during auto update, if we would use the auto upate setting in windows Updater.
So we are looking for a macro/script to run against a server which logs in, runs windows update and installs them, and reboots afterward.
After the reboot a message or email that the server is back up, would be great, but it's optional, as we will check them also manually again.
Another thing is, that we use fortigate firewalls and want to safe their configurations automatically, this means connection to the firewall, login, and save the configuration. This could be done via SSH. Can some scripts be timed to run every month, for example?
Hope someone else is doing something like this also.
Best regards.
Patrick
Hi,
Your best bet would be to install RDM Agent and use an RDP connection to run the script. It's available in RDM 10 Beta.

We don't support the scheduling script but I will enter a feature request for that.

+1 would love to see the RDM agent become more of an RMM style agent, and not so much rely on RDP :)

We were able to run some scripts in RDM 10, which look promising.
But the main thing would be the scheduling of scripts, which just would be awesome, as a lot of us, need to manually Batch Script a lot of servers during the night. If scripts could be automated to a certain time once a day, this would save us so much time. Looking forward to that feature :-)
Good point. I will add this to our todo list

Just want to sent a short note, that we are soooo looking forward to scheduling ;-) This would be awesome.
