You can control each session to "warn if already opened" by selecting "Properties -> Logs -> Settings -> Warn if already opened". This appears to work fine when flagged on each session (RDP/telnet). (screenshot 1).
It also appears you can control this on a global level not having to edit each entry by selecting "File -> Options -> Advanced -> Connection -> Warn on multiple sessions open". (screenshot 2).
Are these the same setting? It doesn't appear that the global setting is functioning as designed, but I could be wrong.
HELP!

Hi,
The global setting is not the same. RDM will show a confirmation dialog when this setting is checked and when you open multiple sessions in the navigation pane. The goal of this setting is to avoid a terrible mistake when you click on too many session by error.

I should change the label from Warn to Confirm instead

Thanks David, makes sense. Is it possible to add a global "warn if already opened" with an override on the session? Currently managing 1835 sessions in one data source and I cringe at having to export the data source and modify or changing manually.
I will check if I can add this to the batch edit.
