I have a problem with multiple computers. All of the sudden, we are missing connections. Whole folders. We have about 300 connections saved and are using the SQL database connection method. It happens to many of my users. Refresh does nothing. The only thing that works, is deleting the data source and re adding it.
I have refresh set to 600 seconds, and have tried manually refreshing as well. It does not work. Again, have to add the data source again. No problems with the SQL server or network connections. In fact we ODBC to download millions of records each day into applications such as Excel and Access. Only seems to be a problem with Remote Desktop Manager.
Hello,
I may be a problem with the cache being desynchronized. Could you hit CTRL-F5 to recreate it and let us know it that fixed it?
Maurice
as far as I can tell, crtl-f5 did not do anything.
Please run File - My Data source information, and use the envelope button to send us the report.
Maurice
What version are you running?
We had an issue a few weeks ago where the local cache was corrupt and wouldn't load the sessions correctly.
Do you have anything in the application logs (Help -> View Application Log)? If so please send us the report.
Regards,
Stéfane Lavergne
Running 9.2. here is the log, I only grabbed the most recent lines. Keep in mind, I've had multiple computers with this problem, not just one. I do have different computers running slightly different versions. Meaning, someone might be running 9.1.

Hello,
v9.2.10 is really recommended in your case.
We just found out that CTRL-F5 is not bound, therefore you must press CTRL while you click the refresh button, can you try that.
I have received you data source information report and it show you have no security groups and you are admin as well, so nothing is suspect about your configuration.
Maurice
ctrl-refresh button does not appear to do anything.....
if you enable the profiler in Help - Diagnostics, and move it on the side, then press ctrl-refresh, you will see a log of the db activity.
Maurice
The user went ahead and removed the data source and recreated it (he got sick of troubleshooting). So I can't duplicate this at the moment. When it happens again, I'll do what you say in the diagnostics.
Hi, i am facing the same problem on Azure SQL??
the CTRL and refresh works? why does this work?
James.

Hello,
CTRL-REFRESH invalidates the cache so it is re-created. Did you perform this?
Maurice
Yes CTRL refresh did the job.
