Syncing RDM between computers

Syncing RDM between computers

avatar

Hi all. New RDM user here. I bounce between at least four different computers regularly myself. I really need a way to sync them so the same settings, sessions, credentials etc. show up on all four automatically.
I looked into RDM Online, but really, minimum $50/year to store a little config data. Sorry, but to me that's outrageous. It's hard enough paying for a console when there are other free ones out there but after buying myself a single license of Enterprise version I had hoped it would do this without additional cost.
Have I missed something, or is RDMO with annual cost the only way to automatically sync my settings?
Cheers
Derek O.

You can also use Amazon S3 or DropBox data sources to sync between a few machines, have a look at the pros/cons here:

Note, RDMO Free will allow you 15 free sessions.

Thanks. Looking into that. Amazon free is only for a year and wants a credit card for a free account. Not a fan of that, will avoid if at all possible. Trying DropBox right now but it won't let me create the Data source. I created the account on dropbox and I'm connected into it and have saved an XML export to it. But creating the data source in RDM says I need to validate the drop box and clicking on the validate button doesn't appear to do anything.
Thoughts?

Hi,

If you download RDM beta 9.4.10.0 (http://remotedesktopmanager.com/Home/Download#beta), you will have a manual authentication checkbox in the advanced tab (File -> Data Sources -> Dropbox). With this option check, it will be possible for you to validate your account.
