Keepass : Name of entry instead of UUID ?

Keepass : Name of entry instead of UUID ?

Hi,

Our team share an XML "Data source" (Because XML is simple and we don't want an SQL*Lite or MySQL database and server)
We configured "My personal credential" and "Always prompt with list", but we have to choose one "Name of the entry in the database".

Is it possible to select automatically a "Name of the entry in the database"(Keepass) instead of "UUID" (Without an "Advanced Data source" like MYSQL)?

Hello,

David will look into this. The concern we have is how we handle duplicates. Some of the systems we interface with also allow for a folder structure, would you expect us to look in all folders?

Hello,

In our Keepass database, there is no folder.

The "Keepass Credential list" ask "Group Name/Title", and "Title" is unique, so i don't understand the concern about duplicates.

If we speak only about "Username" => there is duplicates.
If we speak about "Username" + "field Domain=Domain1" => there is no duplicates
If we speak about "Title" there is no duplicates.

Hello,

We have to consider requirements of all of our community in mind. We also prefer to have a similar mechanism for all of the external password management systems out there, most of them support folders and duplicate entry names.

We will look at how we can implement this.

Best regards,

Maurice
