RDM is timing out before a tardy host responds.
MSTSC remote desktop makes a connection, but it takes 15+ seconds before the screen changes, and about 20 seconds total for the connection.
Q: is there a registry value or ?? I can use to extend the timeout period before RDM gives up?
Hi,
We use the ActiveX and I'm not sure if I can find a setting. Could you post the exact error message you get?
David Hervieux
The message is the box that states the server is offline, unreachable, etc.
It is behind a secure environment, so screen shots are not possible.
It would be the same message received if the server was powered down.
Ok. Do you see the RDM icon in the message box? I want to know if the message source is from RDM or from the ActiveX?

Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons:
1) Remote access to the server is not enabled
2) The remote computer is turned off
3) The remote computer is not available on the network
Makse sue the remote computer is turned on and connected to the network, and that remote access is enabled.
There is a red X dialog box icon at the left side of the box. A single OK button is enabled.
RDM is latest version.
Could you try to enable the NLA:
