I know you can create (session) templates for specific purposes, but is it also possible to have 'mandatory' fields in a template?
For instance i would like to create a template for a physical server session, and in those sessions i would like to always configure an iLO URL.
I just found out i can put something like https://$HOST$-ilo/ in the template, but this is not always correct.
Is there a way to have a 'mandatory' field so that when a new session is created from a template, the session can't be saved before the mandatory fields have been filled in?
(those mandatory fields would also be helpfull with 'custom' information in the custom fields, or description field whatever.
Hi ,
I have entered a feature request for that. It's not simple to add since we will have to hard code all the mandatory fields. We don't have any generic way of validating the data. So which other fields would you like to have mandatory?

For us fields like 'Description', 'Some fields on the information tab and the iLO field would be needed, but I would say that if you are implementing this make a mandatory switch available for all 'text' fields
Thank you
