Maximized RDP spanning two monitors?

I want to be able to start RDM, maximize/span over two monitors and RDP to a server.

Then instead of the server seeing one monitor with a huge desktop, I would like the server to see two monitors corresponding in size to whatever canvas size RDM can provide (ie. monitor resolution minus Windows Taskbar and RDM "window dressing").

This would allow me to have a fully functional two monitor client with a visible Windows Taskbar, and a fully functional two monitor RDP session.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

I am currently only able to either - not both:

a) run RDM in full-screen, losing my client Taskbar, but having my RDP session working as intended - albeit in fullscreen, or

b) span RDM across two monitors, using something like DisplayFusion, keeping my client Taskbar but now having the RDP session thinking it's one huge monitor/desktop

Can I have my cake and eat it too?
