Recording format

avatar

Hi all. Is there any way to change the recording format from ANSI output to plain text? Since I do a lot of ssh based stuff in Linux I get the ANSI color output which is hard to read while looking at the output in Notepad++. Or if someone can let me know if there is a plugin for converting such things they use in the app that would help. Either way, the output from RDM is a little messy when trying to look at it from a standard notepad based app.

Thanks!

Glen

The third party library supports only that format, but I had a look at the SDK and they have sample applications to either replay, view or convert the recording to other formats.

We have created work items to re-package these applications, I am keeping a note to notify you when they are available.

Great! Thanks very much.

Also the other option is to allow the user to select which type if recording to do. So either include such ANSI standards or just convert to plain text. Because honestly, as a UNIX admin all I want is to see the text. Formats are not usable to me since all my sessions are ssh and telnet based.

Hi Tlog,

You need RDM 10 to have access to this feature.

You can download it here
