rdp - local ressources - prompt for selected resou
hi!
using the option "prompt for selected resources" from the "local resources"-tab for a rdp connection doesn't prompt.
settings activated: "uses clipboard", "uses hard drives" and "uses serial ports"
connecting to a server with the option "prompt for selected resources" checked or not does not show any difference.
i came upon this because i wanted to use a specific local hard drive for this connection but i can not find any options that would allow me to do so.
will it be possible to use only one (or more) local hard drives for a connection?

Hi,
Do you use the embedded or external connection ? This option is only when opened externally. There is no option to select a specific drive for now, but it's planned.

Hi,
There is two modes of connection:
- External
- Embedded
The external mode call mstsc.exe to launch the remote connection. this is an external process.
The embedded mode open the connection with the ActiveX in a new tab directly in Remote Desktop Manager. you must check the option "Open embedded" in the session configuration to use this mode.
The prompt for selected resource is only available if you open the connection in external mode. I will try to verify that nothing is broken if you use the external connection and it does not work. You must also have the version 6.0 of mstsc.exe (Microsoft Remote Desktop Client).

i tried it again and if started external the prompt appears; if i click on "details" the resources are shown...
sorry for any inconvenience caused!
Is it possible to always expand it (button "details" always checked)?

No problem for the explanation. Unfortunately, the details checkbox is directly in the mstsc.exe client. There is nothing I can do for that, it's in the Microsoft code.
I find a way I will let you know.
