VMware Remote Console not working in W8.1

Hi,
When I want to connect to a VM with the "connect"-button, I get the following:
VMware Player is not installed properly on this system and cannot function.
I installed vSphere CLI 5.1, I pointed the vmware-vmrc to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VMware\VMware Remote Console Plug-in 5.1\Internet Explorer\...
Also I don't know where I could change the setting of the standard location afterwards...
I have an ESXi 5.5 host. Can some help me with solving this...?
