X11 Forwarding using SSH Shell instead of Putty

I have searched the forums and only found one subject on X11 forwarding and it was based around putty. I would prefer NOT to use an external program for SSH. So I would like to request the built in SSH shell have the functionally of all other external SSH applications and have a check box to allow turning on X11 forwarding so the DISPLAY environmental variable is properly set on the client.

Or if I'm missing something someplace please let me know.

Thanks

Hi,
This is not supported by the third party we use but they are aware of this request. As soon as they implement it, we will add it in RDM.

Any word on this functionality?

We haven't received any news from the third party for now.

This is very much a feature I would like to see implemented as well. More and more RDM is becoming my central location for connectivity to all the systems I manage and access. Being forced to use external tools to augment that capability seems counter-productive.

I agree with Micheal Schexnayder.
This feature should be a "MUST" for Linux SysAdmin....
How can the X11 forwarding be obtained with RDM at the moment ?
Only using the "saved session" of PuttY ??

Hello pico,

In the SSH Shell session type, you will found a X11 Forwarding tab. Is this what you are looking for?
