I am building a proof-of-concept server.
It is a VM running Server 2008 r2 and Remote Desktop Services.
i have installed RDM with the trial Enterprise with a SQL Express backend. I installed RDM in an alternate location (C:\RDM)
Everything works great with the original admin user who created installed the application.
However, each new user who logs in gets the license screen. Is there any way to allow all users access to the SQL backend and license right off the bat? Is this a limitation of the software? Is this a limitation of the trial?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
You can copy a default remotedesktopmanager.cfg file in the application folder. The application use it by default when it does not exists in %LocalAppData%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager

Thanks for the quick reply!
I did not see the Devolutions folder in the local appdata folder. However, I did find it in the %APPDATA%.
%appdata%\devolutions\remotedesktopmanager
Just so we are on the same page. For every user who logs in, I will need to delete the default .cfg and .bak files in that directory and replace them with a default one?
Once configured for the first time, does the .cfg really change? Will I need to update all users periodically? Let me know if I'm left field here.
thanks!
Hi,
Sorry, if you use a Terminal Server, you are right it's in %AppData%. You will only need to delete it if you change the registration or the database server.
