I'm using latest version of Remote Desktop Manager with MS SQL Express and I would like to share some credential entries with everybody who has access to the database.
When I do Add -> Credential Entry I can fill in the Name, User Name and Domain fields, but "Password" field is greyed out. How can I solve this?
thanks,
Marco
Hi,
Is it possible that your company policy does not allow the password saving in Windows?
It's in the registry:
Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services\DisablePasswordSaving

No, that's not the point. I don't have this entry in my registry at all and I save regualrly some network share's password in Windows, so that's not the cause of the problem.
Might it be an advanced setting of the Data Source? I'm using the Enterprise Edition 6.1.3.0.
Can you verify the database settings in the menu File->Administration->Data Source Settings?
David Hervieux
Ok, that was it. I'm not the admin for RDM, so I couldn't see that setting. I asked the person responsible for it to unchek it and now it works.
thanks for your help,
Marco
Great!
