Hi,
I have a problem with the security settings in the enterprise version of RDM. I create some groups with subfolders in the RDM. I use MS SQL Server 2008 Express as data source. Then I created an user with accessrights to one of those groups. When I logged in as the new user, I could only see the group, where the user have accessrights. But when I create a new connection with a groupname, where the user have no rights for, then the connection will be stored in this group and disappear from the screen. When I then logged in as admin, I could see the new connection in the group, where the user had created the entry.
Is it possible to allow write access only for those groups where the user had access rights or is this a bug?
The second problem for me: is it possible, to perform an interactive login when RDM starts or access an MS Active Directory for the user accounts?
Dirk
Hi,
We don't have the write only access concept. The only thing I could do is restrict the security group list to only what you have access but this won't help you.
For the MS Active Directory, you can use it with SQL Server by using the Integrated mode but you will still need to create the user in RDM before. This is used to set the security settings and the room for the user specific settings.
