Minor bug with how tree view expands connections
Hi there
We have many connections (over 1000) so we must make use of a folder structure to keep groups of servers together for ease of use. We also use the SQL auto refresh option so that anyone who makes changes has these changes updated accross the other computers after a period of time.
However it is very annoying that if you expand a group then connect to a server, work and then disconnect and collapse the group, the group will always auto expand again on the next refresh.
It makes navigating the list difficult if this happens.
Is this fixable?

Have you tried the beta version? I have fixed a bug related to something like that. I just want to be sure that it's not the same.

No, the exact issue described still happens. When it auto refreshes it expands semi random folders. Clicking the minus symbol next to the connection only helps until next refresh where it expands again.
Can you reproduce it every time or it's really random. Does it happen every time for a specific session, maybe we have a reproducible case?

This is how it happens.
Imagine 3 groups
client 1 ,2 and 3.
When opening rdm, none are expanded. I wish to work on a server under client 1 so I expand it and open a conenction. After some time, I end my session and collapse client 1. I then open client 3 and work there. When the connections are refreshed, client 1 group expands again, despite my collapsing it earlier. There are no connections to client 1 it just insists on expanding on a refresh.

I'm running Version 6.6
It seems I'm having this same problem as mentioned in the first post. When creating new folders or modifying something. The same groups are expanding again.
So if I expand group 1, then close it. Then go modify or add another folder to a different group... It will refresh the page and group 1 will expand again. Right now when I'm adding new folders and groups I have about 5 groups that keep expanding everytime.
It's only on certain groups. Like group 1 will keep expanding, but say I expand group 2 and then close it. Then refresh.. group 2 will remained close while gruop 1 is expanded.

I think I found the problem...
If you have the More --> Show Credentials Entries shown.. you need to have those groups closed for the Sessions groups to be closed.
If you have the More --> Show Credentials Entries not selected.. then it doesn't matter. They close/expand correctly.
You got it I think. I think that I will be able to fix this now.
