Freezes when Updating Sessions

avatar

Whenever I create, update, or delete a session, the application is frozen for about 28 seconds before I can click or do anything else again. My system is Server 2012 R2 with 12GB and 8 cores, and the data source is on the same spinning disk as the OS. I am running Enterprise Edition 9.2.3.0 64-bit using a SQLite data source. I was using XML and switched to SQLite, but it didn't make it faster. I've also tried removing some old entries, but it hasn't sped up. Maybe I have too many saved connections; is there an ideal number?

Not really a specific number. Custom images usage and the information you store have an impact though.

First, the 64 bit should be used only when memory issues arise (http://blog.devolutions.net/2014/02/32-bit-vs-64-bit-versions-of-remote.html)

First go in File-> My Data source information and use the envelope button to send us the summary.

Then have a look at http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/troubleshooting_profiler.htm and do the procedure. We just added a "send trace to" button in the profiler that is not documented on that help page. Use it to send us the profiler log. Please include your forum username in the message.

Thanks

OK, using the 32-bit version is much faster, even according to the profiler. Thank you!
