Hi
Since a few minutes I have a strange problem with RDM. The session pane in RDM is empty. There are only 2 entries named "Sessions" and "Credentials". If I click on "Expand all", nothing happens. If I use the tray icon, all my entries are shown and I can use them. Only the session pange does not show my folder and entries.
Any idea on what happend? I have already tried with a backup copy of my Connections.mdb. It has the same problem. Therefore it doesn't seem to be a problem of the database, but a problem of RDM itself...

Hi,
Can you verify if you have a filtered applied (More button at the bottom of the main window)? Can you verify if you have an error in the application log?
David Hervieux
Hi
Thanks for your replay. There's definitely no filter set. If I click on "More", all flags are set. The application log ist empty.
Any other idea?
Can you post a print screen, maybe I will see something? Also, can you try this version?
http://remotedesktopmanager.com/download/Setup.RemoteDesktopManager.6.1.7.0.exe
David Hervieux
Just tested with version 6.1.7.0. Did unfortunately not help.
Please see the attached printscreen. Maybe you'll see something...

I really don't know what might be the problem so let's try something. Set the debug level to 1 in the application options (advanced tab page) and restart the application. Verify the application log (Help menu)
David Hervieux
Just set debug level to 1 and restarted RDM. Here's the output of the application log:
[7/26/2011 3:51:52 PM]DEBUG No security management found
[7/26/2011 3:52:01 PM]DEBUG Form load was not called
[7/26/2011 3:52:01 PM]DEBUG Starting main form Load
[7/26/2011 3:52:01 PM]DEBUG Main form Loaded = true
[7/26/2011 3:52:01 PM]DEBUG Ending main form Load
[7/26/2011 3:52:01 PM]DEBUG Showing main form...
[7/26/2011 3:52:02 PM]DEBUG No security management found
I have no choice, I really don't understand so I will send you a special version with some debug information. I will post it later

Just to be curious, do you see the session if you use the list view instead of the tree view (F12)
David Hervieux
The list is even empty while using the tree view. I've really tried every view and any other options I found.
Today I'll try to completely remove RDM, delete all the registry keys etc. completely reinstall it. Probably this will fix anything. And I'll try to use my database on another computer. Maybe there's simply something broken within the installation.
Me again :-)
Just resolved the problem. I had to completely uninstall RDM and even manually delete the configuration files placed in C:\Usersusername\AppData\Local\Devolutions.
After a fresh installation, every is working now. So, probably there was something corrupted within the config files. Sorry for the work...
Hi,
Do you have a backup of the old cfg file? I would have been curious to try it.
David Hervieux
Ahh, of course not :) The problem started this week, and my computer is unfortunately only backed up on sunday..
Maybe the error comes back again ;) Then I'll definitely back up the files before deleting them... Sorry
