Tree view
We currently use the tree view exclusivly however due to mis clicks it sometimes gets turned off. Now I realize you can reset the layout and you can switch back to the tree view but it seems to happen quite often. Is there any way I can prevent it from switching to another view?

You do not have to reset the layout,
If you've hidden the navigation panel, you can use ALT-F8 to restore visibility
If you've switched to another mode for the panel (Details, List, etc), you can press F7 to switch back to the tree view.
We do not have a feature to disable view mode transitions.
