Computer Information Tab
Hey I'm really loving this program, question though, how does the Discover button work? I tried it and it keeps just putting zeros in the MAC field.
Also anyway when I do an import or after the import to change the computer name from the DNS name to the Actual IP? I deal with allot of clients remotely and every time I do a mass import, I have to change it from computer name to IP

Hi,
The reason why you receive zero it's because the application is unable to retreive the mac address. I will investigate to see what can be the problem. For the import, there is no option for that right now, it's only import by using the computer name. I will try to add an option for that.

*EDIT* BTW, I did want to mention if this makes a difference, I was trying this over a Point to Point VPN tunnel, wasn't sure if that would make a difference.

Hi,
I think that the VPN is the problem, RDM is unable to get the MAC address.
I will try to find a way, but I can you tell when.

I've also noted that if the server sits on a different site, the discover option does work either. We have 26 sites in our WAN, the only one that worked was the site I am located in. I had to enter the MAc's for the servers at my other 25 sites. The first 25 servers wasnt bad, the other 75 will bite but thats OK.
