I often have trouble doing "copy to clipboard" actions. I get a dialog that says "Nothing to copy to the clipboard!"
I think that this occurs on sessions that have subconnections. It may also be important to note that most of my sessions use credential repositories.
Can you give me more details or a specific case with the session type?
David Hervieux
Sure. I have one named "VMH1" that's in my folder "Sessions -> <redacted> -> Managed Customers -> <redacted> -> VM Hosts (managed nodes)". It's a Putty session with credentials in the credential repository "<redacted> -> Managed Customers -> <redacted> -> VMH". It has two subconnections: an FTP (really WinSCP) one and an https one.
If I duplicate the connection, it doesn't copy the subconnections, but it does copy the bug.
If I change the credential repository, the bug does not go away. If I select the same credential repository in another connection, I can copy it from that one.
Does it happen for the password only or for the password also?
David Hervieux
I am not able to copy either username or password in these cases.
I'm happy to turn on some debugging and send you logs if it will help.
Also, my coworker using the same data source (a SQL Server data source) has the same problem with the same sessions.
Maybe the source is corrupt somehow?
CAn you export it and send it to me?
David Hervieux
Um, no. Exporting from the Data Sources window seems to only export the SQL Server connection info, and all of the File -> Export options in the main window are greyed out. Maybe because it's locked? If so, I can probably get our SQL admin to export it for you.
Actually, I have one with the same symptom in an unlocked SQL Server connection that I can export. Sending it to you via PM.
Hi,
Can you try this version and set the debug level to 1
http://remotedesktopmanager.com/download/Setup.RemoteDesktopManager.6.1.6.0.msi
Use the copy for the username. I will get a special message if it's empty
David Hervieux
Nothing different happened. Is there a log I need to send you?
Hi,
You show see a message box when the username is empty
David Hervieux
I get a dialog that says "Nothing to copy to the clipboard!", same as before.
This is the same thing that happens when I try to copy the username or password from a session that actually doesn't have one.

Ok,
Are you sure the the debug level is set to one? Can you try to download again the binaries?
David Hervieux
David Hervieux
Yes. Debug is set to 1. I installed the MSI you linked earlier as well as the EXE just now. Both of them showed version 6.1.6.0 in the status bar of the app. I also tried setting the debug higher -- to 5 -- still with no apparent change.
Ok,
I added the message somewhere else:
http://remotedesktopmanager.com/download/Setup.RemoteDesktopManager.6.1.6.0b.exe
David Hervieux
Now I got it:
user name '' for the session type Putty with credential id <none>
Ok,
if you look at the session, does it really contains a username?
David Hervieux
Hi,
I reproduced with Putty, fix coming soon.
