Move Tools to a separate tab on the left

I have the navigation sidebar minimized, but regardless, it would be nice if the macros/tools were a sidebar of its own so that I could go straight to it without opening navigation, then going to the far right with the tiny arrow, then click what I want, then back when I want to connect to a server.

Something like this, but thinking a bit further on it, it would make the most sense to me if each of the current tabs on the Nav bar were it's own button on the left sidebar.
This shows just adding the Tools to the left, but think about having 4 or 5 down the left instead.

Your suggestion looks a lot like Ultraedit handles its panes and Toolbars.
I love this idea :)
