Lag / bad performance when changing focus

OS: WinXP
When running RDM maximized and having an embedded RDP session open try to change focus to the taskbar on your local computer - what happens in the RDM adjusts the open RDP session a little bit and this affects performance and causes a lag for your computer and shifts focus back to RDM and it's a REAL pain in the ass.
If you use alt+tab you will not notice it.
So to test:
Open RDM
Maximize RDM
Connect to embedded RDP session
click on another program in your taskbar to change and see how RDM takes focus back after a second or two.
It's driving me NUTS!

update / after banging my head against the wall about 900 times I remembered that most problems have the same root cause... Microsoft.
So if you have a normal taskbar that is only one row instead of my two rows there is no problem...
