Display corruption when running as tabs

Display corruption when running as tabs

avatar

Hi, new enterprise user.
I converted a bunch of RDP files, and I now run them as tabs.

All the W2K8R2 sessions work just fine.
All the Win7 sessions have graphic corruption.

It appears to me as if there is something wrong with the use of DirectX.
One window will have artifacts of another window painted on top of it.
One window will have the GDI render lines or surfaces in the wrong location.

If I run the same session full screen, they work fine.
If I run the same session using RDC full screen they work fine.

Local OS is Win7 Ult x64 SP1, ATI 5750 11.3, dual monitor.
Remote Win7 is Ult x64 SP1, running on W2K8 R2 SP1 Hyper-V, hardware graphic acceleration and Aero enabled.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi,
For a test, can you disable the Theme in the Experience tab page?

If I disable the Aero theme, then it works fine.
The same corruption also happens when using Microsoft Remote Desktop connection Manager.

However, if I run multiple RDC sessions in a similar fixed window size, it also works.
So it appears to have something to do with the embedded view and acceleration?

I will try to investigate, but there is something you can verify, just make sure that the video drivers are both update on your local machine and the remote machine.

The local machine display drivers are the latest 11.3 ATI drivers.
The remote machine is a Hyper-V instance, the display is synthetic.
