Data Centre Management

Hi,

I want to make the argument to my work place to use Remote Desktop Manager Enterprise as the best location to store information relating to our servers. However I have some questions:

Can you assign 2 connections types to one entry? Example we have servers that require RDP and cPanel logins, currently I have 2 groups configured for this but it is rather cluttered. A right click option would be ideal to access an alternative login method.
On the "other" tab there are custom fields, can the name of these be changed as they appear to be links but nothing happens?
On the "computer" tab the OS lists a number of OS's, can others be added?
Is the MySQL remote store encrypted?

Thanks

Also, I note that it says "Zip Code" can we change it so it says "Post Code"? ie set the language to English UK

Hi,
Sorry for the delay, here few answers:

2 connections: I suggest that you take a look at the sub-connection. By using it with variable, you can reuse the parent configuration: http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/sub_connections.htm

The custom name: yes you can change it by clicking the link like you did. I just tested it and it prompt me a dialog. Can you verify if you have downloaded the latest version 6.0.1?

For the OS list, I can add it for you, can you tell me what is missing?

In the mySQL datasource, it's not encrypted by default but it's an add-on, you can customize it with your needs.

For the zip code, the localization is not implemented yet, but for the specific settings, I can add an option (we have the same naming convention in Canada).

I hope this help.

I was using the standard version which didn't allow me to edit the custom field names, when I got the trial key for Enterprise it worked fine. I also found the sub-connects which does what I require.

OS: The current options along with:

Linux
Ubuntu
Debian
OpenSUSE
Redhat Enterprise
CentOS
Slackware
Arch Linux
Fedora

Version: Listing all the version numbers against the above OSes would make the list huge, so a input field to manually enter it would be easier
Architect: Dropdown with 32-bit and 64-bit options
