Error in opening embedded URLs after upgrading IE9

Error in opening embedded URLs after upgrading IE9

avatar

Hi

We use the URL option under the More tab for link back to a Microsoft CRM page.
Since upgrading to Internet Explorer 9 we are getting the following error when this page tried to open embedded but do not have a problem when opening the webpage directly within IE9.

Script Error
An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line: 45
Char: 1
Error: Unexpected call to method or property access
Code: 0
URL: http://server/_static/_forms/_controls/input.text.htc

Any ideas as it is driving up nuts as we have to click onthe error message several times before it will close and we get the error on everything that has a link to CRM which is most of our Servers or if there is a way to suppress the script error.

Cheers

Hi,
The problem is that IE 9 is not officially released and it's hard for me to debug this. I added in this special version a small option to disable the script error. Can you give it a try?

I was notify that it was released, sorry I missed that. I will do some test. Here is a screenshot.

Hi David
Sorry, it's not the web browser option we are using.
We are using the URL field under the Description in the More Tab, see screen shot.

We use this to link back to config information stored in CRM.

Ok,
I see, can you try just for a test in a web browser session type.

Hi David

I have added it as an embedded web page and it opens fine but if I refresh the page it errors, then if I click through the errors RDM then crashes.
If I enable the "Hide Script errors" option the page opens fine and if I refresh the page it works fine, no errors and RDM does not crash.

Ok,
I added a global option that you can use and this will work with the other web browser section. I updated the previous binaries

http://remotedesktopmanager.com/download/Setup.RemoteDesktopManager.6.0.0.0d.exe

You will find the setting the File->Options in the Advanced tab page. It's called "Disable web browser script errors"
