SSH/putty session settings import?

SSH/putty session settings import?

Setting up a SSH session in RDM, RDM can leverage the session settings from putty. But if you share the RDM datasource with others who don't have your particular named session in their putty, there is no connection information when they try to use the RDM session object from the shared datasource. Is there a way to import the session information when setting up a session in RDM so that it is persistent or lives within the datasource? (at least the hostname or IP sessings from putty would be a start)

Hi,
Does it work if you don't use a session, but instead set the parameters directly in the settings (Use these settings radio button)?

If understand correctly, then yes.

If a choose that radio button, then I must manually enter the host information, RDM session doesn't learn anything from a selected putty session configuration.

Perhaps this should be a feature request, 'import putty session information'?

Yes this could be a nice addition to the product. This could be an importer done as an add-on (SDK)
