Fullscreen Mode is Letterboxed

Fullscreen Mode is Letterboxed

avatar

I recently updated from (I think) 5.9.0.0 to 6.0.0.0. I have Remote Desktop sessions set to display as Embedded tabs. Under 5.9.0.0 when I toggled fullscreen, the expected fullscreen remote desktop displays. After the update to 6.0.0.0, toggling fullscreen results in a letterboxed display with black bars on top, bottom, left and right of the display. If I edit the session to display Externally, the expected fullscreen (non-letterboxed) display appears. Is there a setting I need to adjust so that toggling fullscreen results in a non-letterboxed display?

Thanks,

Don

Hi,
Have you try the setting in the RDP display (Fit embedded RDP in Window) without the smart sizing checked?

Yes, I tried that option, to no avail. Setting smart sizing has no apparent effect either way. I have a work around: set Remote desktop size from Default to Fullscreen. This opens the remote session in fullscreen mode and I can toggle between embedded and fullscreen without letterboxing. The caveat is that now the embedded session is not scaled to fit the tabbed window (even though Fit Embedded RDP in Window is checked (but greyed out) (and no smart scaling setting helps)). I can live with dealing with scroll bars in the embedded window and having a fully functional fullscreen mode, but I would prefer the best of both worlds - non-letterboxed fullscreen and non-scroll barred embedded windows.
Thanks for the reply
