RealVNC embedded - unable to connect to host
Downloaded the latest free version of RealVNC - just the viewer.
Installed it and set the path in RDM.
Created new VNC session set to embedded - get the above error.
Using the new version 6 of RDM
Usually I use TightVNC and that works well in external mode and so do RealVNC - but I thought at least RealVNC would work embedded?
Any ideas?

Hi,
We dont use any VNCViewer for the embedded mode. It's a native component and to be honest, it's not great. But we are nearly done creating and embedded UltraVNC, we will release an add-on this week (I hope). Let me know if you want to give it a try.

You can try the beta release here, it's not possible to use the add-on manager to install it, you must unzip it in the Remote Desktop Manager installation folder.

Remember, this add-on will only work with the version 6.0 or better

Thanks. This fixed my problem with VNC and embedded screens.
When the add-on get released (out of beta) would i have to uninstall it from my manager or can I just update it from the add-on manager screen?

Hi,
We will release the update next week and it will be built in in the default VNC configuration. You will still need to install the add-on but it will appear in the VNC application combo box.
