AD Roles not working with Windows Authentication in RDM 14.1 with DPS 6.1

Hi Devolutions,

We have a fresh installation of Password Server running on version 6.1. We configured Windows authentication with auto create users in the database with username format Username. In RDM we created Roles from AD groups which point to repositories. We can start RDM and login and the user is being created and is visible in the user list with a login name in Username format. Only on the client itself we get the message that the user, which is in the AD groups for the repositories, doesn't have permissions. If we login to the web page of the Password Server all seems to be working fine. Also if we change the data source settings to Username / Password by unchecking the 'Use Windows Authentication' checkbox the AD groups are working.

Hello,

This is a known issue with those versions and is has been resolved internally. The fix will be available in the next DPS version.

Have you tried using the UPN username format instead of the Username for the automatic user creation? For your information, the username format is only used for the username format that will be saved in the database. You can still use any username format to log in no matter which one has been saved in the database.

Best regards,

Hi Erica,

We tried the UPN username format but also no luck. Do you have any idea when the next version will be released?

Hello,

I am very sorry that I cannot give you an approximate date when this version will be released as we have found another issue and have to test the new internal release.

Thank you for your patience.

Best regards,
