Thycotic Hide Launcher Password + RDM

Thycotic Hide Launcher Password + RDM

avatar

Hi,

I am integrating RDM with our Thycotic secret server (works very well!)
Some secrets have the "hide launcher password" security setting activated (we do not want the users copy/paste the password - just use the secret)

However when using these secrets through a RDM RDP session it does not work. the user is requested to enter the password on the RDP connection client window.

Is there a way to bypass this?

Thanks

Hi,
I suspect that Secret Server does not return the password through their API when this setting is enabled. Could you verify with them directly and let us know. This would make sense since they don't want to expose the password in the API.
