[SOLVED] Sort priority on groups not respected on filtered view
Hi,
When viewing the list of sessions filtered (on the filter dialog and on the filtered tree), the sort priority of groups is not respected as soon as a filter is set.
Whereas:
Hi,
Could you post a print screen of the dialog? I suspect that we are not able to apply the sort priority since we load only the result and if the group is not included in the result, we just create a fake/virtual folder to organize the result.

Hi David,
I see, that would make sense. Please check this gif, hopefully it will be helpful:
Hi,
This should be fixed in the next patch.

Samuel Baker
Thanks a lot, I confirm this is fixed!
Ah, I didn't see that the behavior changed a bit in this version:
Thank you. We will investigate and fix those side effects.

Hi,
It seems that my last two remarks above have been fixed, but the original issue is back. Could you please have a look?
Thanks!
Hello,
What version of RDM are you using?
Could you post some print screens and a brief description of the issue please. This will help our engineering department to look at the issue.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hi Jeff,
RDM Free 3.5.4.0. It's the same issue as I reported at the top of this post. Copy-pasta for simplicity:
When viewing the list of sessions filtered (on the filter dialog and on the filtered tree), the sort priority of groups is not respected as soon as a filter is set.
Thanks!
Hello,
I see what you mean. I have been able to reproduce on my computer.
This has been transmitted to our engineering department.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hello,
problem persist in Version 12.5.12.0 (Beta).
Is there a chance to get a fix in next release?
Regards,
Thomas Kritzinger
Hello,
We will verify what we can do and get back to you.
Sorry for the delay.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Any News?
We have Version 12.6.x. and Problem still persist.
It looks like it is not easy to solve this issue. I guess it has something to do with DevExpress capabilities.
Regards,
Thomas Kritzinger
Hi,
Unfortunatly we have not made any progress. The problem lies deep within the RDM architecture which makes it difficult to fix.

Samuel Baker
Hi Samuel,
Any news on this issue?
Hi,
Cant replicate the issue in the last beta. Please let us know if the issue is still there.
Regards
Samuel Baker
Hi Samuel,
Issue is still present in RDM Free 3.6.5.0.
This will be in RDM Free 4.0
David Hervieux
Thanks, that's good to know!
I confirm this is fixed in RDM Free 4.0.0.0. Thank you !! :)
