you seem to have changed things when it comes to data source connections to your cloud service. for some versions an annoying "connecting" window overlayed everithing, I suppose when the data surce was offline for some time or network connection was flaky. now, I suppose after standby or external IP change, when deleting or editing an entry we get an 401 error:
https://www.screencast.com/t/qhBzBCbByA
this is especailly annoying as it happens after entering all data and pressing save.
only closing/reopening RDM helps, the menu file|data sources brings the same 401 error.
Hello,
What data source type? Is Online Database or Online Drive?

RDMO?
like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/NOSXUZWlD
Hello,
Indeed, this type of data source is Online Database. DODB or RDMO can be used to define these types of data source as well.
Are you behind a proxy?
Do you have access to https://customer-portal.devolutions.com and/or https://dodb.devolutions.net?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Yes, this does not happen immediately but after some time..
Hello,
Is the answer "yes" is for both of my questions?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
no, sorry.
No: No Proxy
Yes: I have access to https://customer-portal.devolutions.com/
As this happens after I left the Notebook running with RDM open over night I suspect you somehow authenticate against the public IP which changes over night on the DSL line here?
Hello,
Thank you for the details in your last post.
Indeed, leaving RDM opened over night can be the culprit, but I am not 100% sure.
I would need to verify with our engineering department and get back to you.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hello again,
I had a chat with our engineering department and they have made a potential fix regarding this.
This should be available in the next release of RDM.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
this fix gets a bit urgent. it is just so disrupting to having to close RDM with a dozen sessions open because you need to change a setting on one..
We have sent a version yesterday to the QA with a potential fix. I will let you know when it's available.
