Wayland HiDPI: Respect KDE Plasma fractional scaling or provide in-app UI scaling option

Hello

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding this issue.

Our development team is still actively investigating it. We have made additional progress and identified a reliable way to reproduce the behavior internally.

So far, we've found that the issue occurs when running Remote Desktop Manager for Linux on a system with multiple monitors, where:

  • The primary monitor is using a scaling value other than 100% (for example, 125% or 200%).

  • Additional monitors are connected with different scaling values. Having mixed scaling across monitors appears to make the issue occur more consistently.

Being able to reliably reproduce the issue is an important step, as it allows our developers to investigate the root cause and work toward a proper fix.

Thank you for your patience. We'll keep you updated as soon as we have further progress.

Best regards,

@Carl Marien

I'd be happy to provide anything that might help. I'd be willing to hop on a remote session for real time if you need a live system. My system currently is a laptop with only a single display. Otherwise, thanks for looking into the issue.

This is still very broken on a 4k monitor under Fedora 44 and Wayland at 200% scaling. I've played with all the scalers under UI but I can't make this usable. On versions 2026.2.1.4. Doesn't help that I don't know which elements are GTK and which use Avalonia, but even experimenting I can't make this better. Let me know what information will help.
